Grab and Go Chocolate Shake

This is a great recipe for those busy mornings where you just need to grab something quickly. It’s easy to make the night before and keep it in the fridge.

Great way to start the day, adding spinach into your breakfast for extra fibre and magnesium. Spinach doesn’t have a strong taste and it tends to blend in well.

RECIPE

Ingredients

Serves two (GF option, DF option)

1 cup milk (almond milk or dairy milk)

1 frozen ripe banana

1 tablespoon nut butter

1/2 teaspoon chia seeds

1/4 avocado

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon cinamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

pinch salt

1/4 cup spinach

1/4 cup oats (optional)

1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional for those trying to wean off sugar)

Instructions

Add all ingredients to blender and blitz for a few minutes. I add some crushed nuts onto the top.

If possible use homemade almond milk as store bought almond milk is loaded with unnecessary additives that aren’t good for the gut microbiome.

Freeze any leftovers in iceblock moulds for a refreshing chocolate iceblock on a hot day
